It means how often and when project deliverables are produces, it can be delivered in different ways.
Below are the types of delivery cadence
- Single Delivery
- Project output is delivered only at the end.
- Example: In a process reengineering project, nothing is delivered until the new process is fully ready.
- Multiple Deliveries
- Different parts of the project are delivered at different stages.
- Example: In drug development, different trial results (Phase 1, 2, 3) are shared step-by-step before the final product launch.
- Periodic Delivery
- Periodic Delivery means delivering outputs at regular, scheduled intervals during the project like weekly, monthly, or quarterly regardless of the project phase.
- It follows fixed time-based schedule, it is useful in agile projects and helps in gathering feedback, it keeps stakeholders engaged and informed.
- Example: A team building a mobile app may release updates every two weeks (sprints), each with new features or bug fixes.
